Opening Ceremony & Keynote at IPVS 2025!
The long-awaited moment arrived as delegates gathered in Bangkok to officially open the IPVS 2025 Conference.
👉 The ceremony began with welcome remarks from Professor Anna R. Giuliano, PhD, President of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS), and Professor Siriwan Tangjitgamol, IPVC 2025 Co-Chair, setting an inspiring tone for the days ahead.
Messages followed from Sarikapan Wilailak, President of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and Lertlak Leelaruengsang, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, who emphasized the importance of global collaboration and local engagement in improving HPV prevention and care.
In the keynote lecture, Professor Praphan Phanuphak delivered “Ending HPV: Lessons Learned from HIV,” drawing on decades of experience in HIV control to inspire strategies that could accelerate progress toward HPV elimination. 💜
The evening concluded with a vibrant Bangkok cultural performance — a fitting celebration of the science and spirit that define IPVS.
