History of the Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society
The Thai Gynecologic Cancer Society was originally the Thai Gynecologic Oncology Club, first established on February 2, 1996, in Chiang Mai Province.
With the objective of
- To serve as a central hub for communication and collaboration among medical personnel caring for gynecological cancer patients.
- To serve as a medium for public benefit activities of medical personnel who care for gynecological cancer patients, both academically and in terms of services.
- Act as an intermediary in supporting the activities of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
In 2008, the Thai Gynecological Oncology Club changed to the Thai Gynecological Cancer Society (TGCS) on April 28, 2003, with the following objectives:
- To serve as a hub for personnel caring for gynecological cancer in terms of 1.1 Unity
- To serve as a medium for disseminating academic knowledge and services to members and the public.
- Support the activities of the Royal Thai College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
- Promote relationships with other institutions that have similar objectives both domestically and internationally.
